It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Sandringham.

Each year, Britain’s royal family gathers at their iconic English country estate to celebrate the holidays, and this season’s gathering is one that is much needed after a rough year in which King Charles and his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton were both diagnosed with cancer.

The holidays, however, are a time to relax and enjoy the company of your loved ones, and Buckingham Palace just gave us a surprise preview of Sandringham’s stunning Christmas decor.

The sneak peak, which includes a glimpse of their elaborately decked out tree, follows Prince William and Kate Middleton sharing their heartwarming Christmas card via Instagram, which showed the Prince and Princess of Wales posing alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Norfolk, taken from a video released by Middleton in September.

The message on both the card and caption read, "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year."

As for their holiday gathering at Sandringham, King Charles is expected to lead the festivities this year, according to ABC, who notes that the gathering will “include some new faces and the absence of some familiar faces.” One of those new faces is Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker-Bowles, who, apparently, will attend the family's Christmas celebration this year for the first time.

Whether or not Queen Camilla’s daughter, Laura Lopes, and her husband and three children attend remains to be seen, but after a "brutal year"according to Prince William, the royals are ready to relax.
