The trailer opens on Eve, who is worried that she may have killed Villanelle after their confrontation in the season one finale. (You know, when Villanelle fled her Parisian apartment after getting stabbed by Eve.)
Little does she know, Villanelle is alive and well and willing to do whatever it takes to conceal her whereabouts.
The series, which is based on Luke Jennings’s Codename Villanelle novels, tells the story of an MI6 operative, Eve, who is bound to a psychopathic assassin, Villanelle, by their mutual obsession with destroying one another.
Although we don’t know much about season two, we do know it picks up 36 seconds after the shocking season one finale. With Villanelle on the loose, Eve is determined to find her, no matter the circumstances.
Killing Eve premiered on BBC last year. In addition to Oh and Comer, the series also stars Fiona Shaw (Carolyn Martens), Kim Bodnia (Konstantin Vasiliev), Sean Delaney (Kenny Stowton), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Elena Felton) and Owen McDonnell (Niko Polastri).
Will Eve find Villanelle before it’s too late? Guess we’ll have to wait until season two of Killing Eve premieres on Sunday, April 7, on BBC America.
