Kevin Bacon Shares Extremely Rare Throwback Photo of Wife Kyra Sedgwick for 35th Wedding Anniversary

Kevin Bacon and his wife of 35 years, Kyra Sedgwick, are still very much in love. And this super rare throwback picture proves it. 

Yesterday, the Footloose alum, 65, celebrated his wedding anniversary by sharing a photo of himself and Sedgwick, 58, taken during the early years of their relationship. In the old snap posted on Instagram, Bacon is hugging Sedgwick and kissing her forehead while she smiles at the camera. He wrote in the caption, “35 years feels like a heartbeat. #Anniversary.”

To mark the occasion, Sedgwick shared a throwback picture of her own. On her IG page, The Closer actress posted a grainy photo of her and her boo, which was taken back in the ’80s. And in the caption, she shared the story behind the photograph. “It was 1987—on the set of ‘Lemon Sky’—I met a man named Kevin. Happy 35 my love,” Sedgwick wrote.

After first meeting on the set of Lemon Sky in 1987, Bacon and Sedgwick got engaged later that year and tied the knot on September 4, 1988.

Back in April, the married couple sat down with People magazine and revealed the secret to their successful relationship: humor. “A sense of humor is crucial,” Sedgwick told the outlet. “[Kevin] is very freaking funny.”

While laughter is the best medicine, the Phenomenon star also shared that their unwavering support keeps their love strong and alive. “We've always been each other's biggest support and fans,” she added.
