Kelly Ripa Posts 2 Major Throwbacks of Her Parents on IG and the Resemblance to Mom Is Uncanny

Thanks to Kelly Ripa's latest Instagram posts, we have a good idea as to how she spent her Thanksgiving weekend.

The Live with Kelly and Ryan host revealed that she's made a tradition of digging through family photo albums on the holiday, and she shared a super rare black-and-white throwback of her parents, Esther and Joseph Ripa, on their wedding day.

“Especially thankful for my ♥️♥️’s Essie and Joe, aka mom and dad,” she said in the caption. She also added, “(And now the pre thanksgiving workout of combing through family photos and old vendettas) circa:1962 #thankful.”

Ripa's photo is a candid shot of her parents exiting their wedding as their friends and family throw rice in celebration. However, the one thing we can't get over is how much Ripa looks like her mother.

Their resemblance is even more apparent in a different throwback that Ripa shared. Following the vintage wedding snap, Ripa found another old photo, except this time, a young Ripa is featured in the pic, where she's seen smiling while sitting in her mother's lap.

As Esther looks down at her daughter, we could've sworn it was Ripa in the pic, because they have almost the exact same profile. (Although Ripa's mother was sporting a bit of a bigger hairdo at the time.)

Ripa joked about her mother's 'do in the caption, where she said, “#fbf especially grateful for this gorgeous lady. Special shoutout to mom’s hair. Thankful it never collapsed during a single thanksgiving. #mom #hair.”

Fellow celebs noticed the resemblance too, like ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir, who said, “Resemblance is stunning.” Actress Holly Robinson Peete added, “Oh my God your mother looks just like you!!!!! Twins!!!”

We hope Ripa shares more of what she found in those photo albums.
