Kelly Ripa Changes Up Her Hair on ‘Live’ This Week

Kelly Ripa has gone through quite the hair transformation throughout her career. From jet-black bangs to a blue bob, it seems Ripa has tried it all, and as of late, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host has been sporting a chic middle part.

However, the 51-year-old television personality switched up her look on Wednesday's episode of Live, trading her middle part for a totally different ’do.

Ripa's updated hairstyle was seen in a video on the Live Instagram account, where she and Ryan Seacrest chatted with clinical psychologist Dr. Kevin Gilliland. In the clip, Ripa converts tiger-printed pajamas into business casual (which we've learned is one of her go-to fashion moves) and the top section of her hair is pulled into a tight ponytail, while the remaining layers lay on her shoulders.

While we loved the new hairstyle, it seems Ripa didn't keep it for long. By the next day, the actress had returned to her middle part. However, instead of wearing it down like she usually does, Ripa had her locks pulled back into a tight bun.

When Seacrest complimented her ’do, Ripa said, “Dirty hair don't care. Thank you.” She further explained, saying, “It's just pulled back into a bun because if we're being honest, my hair is dirty, it's gray...people are like, ‘Did you darken your hair?’ and I'm like, ‘No, the spray that I'm using to hide my roots is darker than normal ’cause I only had dark blonde left.’ So, now it's very dark.”

We're used to Ripa trying new looks, like last fall, when she switched her middle part out for a side part. We just hope she brings this stylish pony back again soon.
