So, what is the occasion? Well, it seems the talk-show hosts are wearing red in order to raise awareness for heart disease.
Called #WearRedDay, the American Heart Association dedicates the first Friday of February (also known as American Heart Month) to bringing awareness and encouraging the nation to come together “for a common goal: the eradication of heart disease and stroke,” according to the organization’s official website.
Joice Wirkus, who is the Big Lots Senior Vice President of Marketing and a fellow member of the Go Red for Women National Leadership Council, shared the primary goal for the Go Red movement. Per the website, she said, “We want red to be prominent in our stores. We want people to know there’s something special going on, so when they get to the register, they’ll want to join the cause.”
Fans absolutely loved the pair’s matching outfits and congratulated them on bringing awareness to heart disease. “Yesss,” one fan wrote. Another fan commented, “Heartfelt gratitude for all you guys do.”
We love to see it!
