If you’ve noticed that Kelly Ripa has been absent on a few episodes of Live with Kelly and Mark, you should know the 52-year-old actress isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She’s just a very busy woman.

Ripa recently sat down for an exclusive interview with The Purist to discuss her talk show, Live with Kelly and Mark. When asked what the future holds, she revealed that she’s not ready to retire from Live—at least not yet.

“I think the risk-averse quality I have is probably the reason I stayed with the same job for so long,” she told the wellness outlet. “Other offers come along, but I like to stick with what I know.”

Ripa added, “I am very steadfast in everything I do, and so when you have me, you have me for life.”

Earlier this year, Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, replaced Ryan Seacrest as co-host of Live. As a result, the show was changed from Live with Kelly and Ryan to Live with Kelly and Mark.

Although Ripa is enjoying her new on-screen partner, she admitted that her talk show tenure won’t last forever. “Having said that, I don’t intend to work at this job for the rest of my life,” she said. “I do talk about retirement with great interest, but right now I’m very happy, especially working with Mark.”

The couple met back in 1995 on the set of All My Children, when producers hired Consuelos to play Ripa’s love interest. One year later, they tied the knot in Las Vegas before hosting a second ceremony in a Catholic church. They now share three children together: Michael (26), Lola (22) and Joaquin (20).

Phew! That was close.
