Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos’s Son Michael Shared a Mysterious Pic That Suggests He’s Following in Their Footsteps

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos's kids—Michael, 25, Lola, 21 and Joaquin, 19—have certainly grown up around the entertainment industry. Of course, their parents met while starring together on All My Children, and then the two continued to work in front of the camera, with Ripa being a co-host of Live with Kelly and Ryan, and Consuelos acting in everything from Riverdale to American Horror Story: Asylum. And based on a new Instagram post, it looks like their eldest is continuing their Hollywood legacy.

In the past, Michael had expressed his interest in filmmaking and he even studied it in college. However, that was before he landed a few acting roles, like playing the younger version of his father's character on Riverdale. Then, earlier this week, the 25-year-old shared a pic of himself being recorded on camera, but whatever the project is remains a mystery. He captioned the photo, “I see you.”

It seems clear that the pair's eldest child more seriously wants to pursue acting, with his Instagram bio even saying, “Attempted Director, Occasional Writer, Aspiring Actor.”

According to IMDb, the Mark Consuelos lookalike already has one major project lined up. Michael is set to play Dr. Derek Cross in a new series titled Dissocia, which is set to premiere in 2023. While little has been revealed about the series, the synopsis on IMDb says, “A scientific breakthrough's life-altering side effects bitterly divide a once close-knit small-town community.”

However, Michael's recent mysterious photo doesn't appear to be related, and it looks like it could be from some sort of cooking show, based on the visible food in the background.

Whatever this photo is from, we love seeing Michael follow in his parents' footsteps.
