Ever wonder what happens after a celebrity receives an Oscar? This year, Kelly Ripa will once again greet and interview the winners mere moments after they accept their awards. Even better, she’ll be sharing the duty with her husband, Mark Consuelos, for the first time.

‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ will air on ABC live from the Dolby Theater. While the couple will be making a live show in real time, they also have an opening done in advance, which appears to spoof a few Oscar-winning films.

"We put ourselves in the movies,” Ripa told ABC. “And so it is like we chose and selected cultural moments throughout Academy Award history that we felt we could pull off best.”

Ripa gave her fans a teaser via Instagram, writing “A little BTS sneak peek. The countdown is on … 2 days until Live’s After The Oscars!” The post shows Ripa and Consuelos dressed as Barbie and Ken, Ripa dressed as Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct and the couple replicating the famous lift from Dirty Dancing.

Despite it being Consuelo’s first time interviewing stars on the red carpet at the Academy Awards, his wife isn’t worried. “He’s got such a natural ease with people. And, unlike me, Mark knows most of the actors that we’ll be talking to,” Ripa explained to ABC.

He shared his excitement as well. “I am looking forward to it, especially the backstage, because as an actor you never think that’s actually going to happen to you. You never think you’re actually going to win an Academy Award. I mean, you think about it, you dream about it. I think the things you think about, wouldn't that be cool?”

And in case you’re wondering what Ripa does post-awards, she told ABC, “I get in my bathrobe and my fuzzy slippers and I walk, I shuffle down the hallway from my, you know, hotel room to the production office, which is a suite of hotel rooms.”

Not so different than how we’ll be spending the night, TBH.
