Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Are Collaborating with Son Michael on a Lifetime Movie

This is not a drill: Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are joining forces with their son, Michael Consuelos, for their upcoming Lifetime movie.

On Instagram, Lifetime confirmed that the 25-year-old actor will star alongside Jenna Dewan in a film titled Let's Get Physical, which will be part of Lifetime's Ripped from the Headlines series. The movie revolves around Sadie (played by Dewan), a small town fitness instructor who runs a secret prostitution ring. But after the authorities get an anonymous tip, her secret gets out, leading to a major scandal in the community.

There's no word yet on the role that Michael will play, but this will mark the first time he has collaborated with both of his parents.

Previously, he worked with his father on The CW's Riverdale, where he played a younger version of Hiram Lodge. And during his appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he explained how he got into character for the role.

"I took a bunch of acting classes to prepare for this episode, I have a great teacher," Michael said. "And I like to talk into the mirror, so I would just say the lines and work on my voice, sounding confident, sounding composed. But I really didn't feel like I was complete until I got into the suit. That makes it real for me." We imagine that Michael will adopt the same habits as he prepares for his film debut.

Ripa and Consuelos will executive produce the film under Milojo Productions as part of their partnership with Lifetime, and Dewan will also executive produce. Robin J. Hayes will serve as director and Jennifer Irwin will also star, according to IMDB.

Let's Get Physical drops on October 15, and we'll definitely be counting down the days.
