Kelly Ripa Returns to ‘Live’ in Leather Dress After a Weekend of Birthday Celebrations

Leave it to Kelly Ripa to look even better after her 50th birthday than she did before it.

After a weekend of celebrating the half-century milestone, the Live with Kelly and Ryan star returned to the morning show’s studio on Monday, October 5. And while the TV personality may have stated she was tired after a long weekend, she certainly didn’t look it.

In a clip shared on Live’s official Instagram account, Ripa stunned in a gorgeous $1,400 leather minidress from designer IRO. The piece featured a self-tie belt that perfectly cinched her tiny waist, puffy sleeves and a wraparound front that plunged slightly low at the chest to show off her décolletage, which explains why she wore a black top underneath. She topped off her look (which is still available online) with a pair of black tights and pointed heels.

During the video, the All My Children alum revealed she was sucking on an “immune-boosting” candy. “Fireball. It’s like ginger and turmeric, and it smells awful but it tastes much worse,” she laughed.

From the looks of Ripa’s social media over the weekend, it's clear why she needed a little boost to her system. Not only was she showered with love and birthday wishes on Friday's episode, which included a visit from her son, Michael, and a surprise message from the Oprah Winfrey, but she had a packed weekend full of gifts including a stunning white floral arrangement from Mark Consuelos and a gorgeous disco ball rainbow surprise cake.
