In a previously aired episode from season one of the popular game show, Generation Gap, Kelly Ripa (who serves as host) had a chance to meet a quirky young contestant who rocked a mullet haircut with the utmost confidence. And let’s just say the Live with Kelly and Mark star, 52, had a difficult time keeping a straight face throughout her entire convo with him.

In a new gif video posted on the Generation Gap’s Twitter page, Ripa loses her composure in the best way possible during a chat about the little boy’s nostalgic hairdo. “You’ve got a very retro, vintage hairstyle,” she tells the contestant. To that, the young competitor responds with a saucy hair flip.

We have to hand it to the All My Children alum. Ripa tried her best to hold in her laughter, but she just couldn’t do it. While trying to regain her composure, she asks the young boy with a smile, “Now, are you more business in the front, or are you more party in the back?” And he simply responds, “Sometimes, it’s just party, party.” Gosh, we love this kid.

Fans will be happy to know the second season of Generation Gap is set to premiere on our small screens on Thursday, June 29, on ABC.

While fans are patiently waiting for the new season, the Twitter account dedicated to the game show shared a teaser image on their page, which shows Ripa (wearing a red dress) standing in front of a new set of contestants.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the show, Generation Gap is a game show that features family members from different generations and they get quizzed on pop culture references and facts from the other’s generation.

Back in May, Ripa announced on Twitter that the show will return for a second season in the summer of 2023. Along with a promo image of the show, the host wrote in the caption, “Are you ready for round 2? The second season of #GenerationGap premieres June 29 on ABC, and stream on Hulu! @GenerationGap.”

You’re such a good sport, Kelly.
