Family. As we’re all learning, you can’t live with ‘em, you can’t live without them. But in Kelly Ripa’s case, she’s really looking forward to reuniting with them.
This week, the 49-year-old Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host shared an emotional throwback Thursday post on Instagram that featured her parents and in-laws and opened up about how much she misses them all.
Ripa captioned the photo, “Cannot wait to hug these four. (Mother in law. Mom. Dad. Father in law) Will hug in any order or first come first serve…circa 2005,” including lots of heart emojis.
The TV personality captured what many are feeling as we practice social distancing and find ourselves apart from loved ones. The 2005-era photo of her parents, Esther and Joseph Ripa, and in-laws (aka husband Mark Consuelos’s parents), Camilla and Saul Consuelos, appears to have been snapped in front of a massive ship. Although she didn’t elaborate on where the pic was taken, its importance to her definitely resonates.
Ripa continued her walk down memory lane by reminiscing about Easter and sharing a photo of herself taken when she was about five years old. In the pic, Ripa wears a bonnet and super long braids (while clutching a yellow bunny) and her stylish mom wears a super ’70s pantsuit.
There’s nothing like some time apart from family to make you look back on the past fondly.
