Katy Perry's Engagement Ring Is a Royal Replica of Not One, but Two Princesses'

Wake up from your Teenage Dream, because Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are officially engaged!

The Lord of the Rings actor, 42, popped the question to the "I Kissed a Girl" singer, 34, on Valentine's Day. Perry posted a picture of her ruby-and-diamond engagement ring (complete with red helium heart balloons in the backdrop) and the caption, "full bloom." But something about this ring looks *so* familiar...

Just us, or is it mysteriously similar to both Princess Eugenie's engagement ring, and Princess Kate Middleton's? Have a look...

And here's the Duchess of Cambridge's sapphire ring.

Holy moly.

Besides having to pick our jaws up off our keyboard because of these massive rocks, we're still scratching our heads at the connection here. Perhaps Perry is a royal fan? (Join the club!)

Or perhaps she's just really loving this trending diamond-halo style with colorful stone in the middle. After all, this is a nontraditional engagement ring look, and the "Dark Horse" singer is anything but conventional.

Perry's mom shared the first pics of her daughter's engagement on Facebook mere minutes after it happened (and we couldn't love this proud mom moment more). She captioned the images “Look who got engaged on Valentines Day!!” but later deleted it. (We can hear Perry now: "Moooooom!")

Earlier in the day, the "Swish Swish" singer posted a shot to her Insta stories of her now-fiance taking a nap with her two dogs with the caption, "Will You Be My Teenage Dream?"

Are Kate and Eugenie invited to the wedding? Fingers crossed Left Shark saves them both seats at his or her table.
