The bottom of the angular bag, which comes from the L.A.–based label Altaire, is orange mock-croc and the sides are a clear PVC, akin to, say, the cellophane sides of the deluxe fresh fruit gift basket. The bag’s top is cinched with a delicate leather rope instead of a ribbon like a real gift basket. At $395, the Altaire Box Bag isn’t terribly expensive for a celeb-beloved design but it’s certainly much more than we’d like to pay for a box of pears.
The “Roar” singer paired the handbag with the Baylee copper skirt and top set from Australian fashion house Camilla and Marc. The slim-cut skirt features a thigh-high asymmetrical slit, while the matching funnel neck top includes extremely long sleeves.Seriously, they’re so long you can’t even see Perry’s fingers…but you can see her shoulders, thanks to the subtly sexy cutouts.
All in all, it’s very laid-back Katy Perry meets Marvel—especially when you add in the nude block heels from Perry’s eponymous accessory line. They bear a striking resemblance to the Avengers: Endgame villain Thanos’s (Josh Brolin) Infinity stones and gauntlet. You know, the ones that Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson emulated on the Endgame red carpet?
