Middleton and Federer are also teaming up with Laver Cup to sponsor a charitable event called “Open Practice Day.” On that day, fans will have the opportunity to watch the players from Team Europe and Team World practice. All the proceeds will be donated to the same two charities.
With Middleton’s impressive tennis skills, this match is gearing up to be a must-watch. Last September, the duchess attended a homecoming celebration for Great Britain’s U.S. Open champions, and she got a chance to meet Joe Salisbury, Alfie Hewitt, Gordon Reid and Grand Slam winner Emma Raducanu.
During the event, she showed off her tennis skills and left an everlasting impression on Raducanu. “I was actually very nervous playing the Duchess—I was like: ‘Don’t miss, don’t miss,’” she said, according to Hello! magazine. “Her forehand was incredible. I was very impressed. It was a lot of fun to play tennis with the duchess.”
Well, this tennis match between Middleton and Federer will certainly be one to watch.
