Even though her road to recovery continues, now that Kate Middleton has completed her chemotherapy treatment, she’s dedicating her time to helping others who are fighting similar battles.
Today, Princess Catherine, 42, made a surprise appearance at Windsor Castle for a special get-together with 16-year-old Liz Hatton, a budding photographer who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
The royal couple documented the meet cute on social media by sharing a slideshow of photos. The first pic was a candid shot of Princess Catherine hugging Hatton, and the second one was a posed portrait featuring Hatton’s family.
The caption read, “A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us.”
It even featured a personal “W&C” signature, which stands for William and Catherine. When a message is signed with “W,” “C” or “W&C,” that means it was personally written by the royal couple.
According to The Daily Mail, Hatton was personally invited to the castle by Prince William after he heard her story. While there, the teenager met both the Prince and Princess of Wales and chatted with Princess Catherine about her cancer journey.
That hug speaks volumes.
