Kate Middleton’s Mint Blazer Paid Tribute to *This* Royal Family Member

The princess took a page out of her late mother-in-law’s fashion catalog for her recent Wimbledon look. If you remember, Princess Diana wore a similar mint green blazer in September 1990. 

At the time, the beloved princess stunned in an oversize mint blazer with the same white V-neck, but for this outfit, the attire featured shiny golden buttons instead of white ones. 

In the photo below, Diana can be seen beaming next to her sister-in-law, Sarah Ferguson, and standing behind a much smaller Prince Harry on the balcony of Buckingham Palance. 

This isn’t the first time Princess Catherine has channeled Princess Diana. Last month, the royal attended Garter Day rocking a black and white polka dot dress designed by Alessandra Rich—and the outfit instantly reminded royal admirers of a previous look worn by Princess Diana in the 1980s.

In June 1988, Diana wore a similar polka dot ensemble while attending the Royal Ascot in England. She also paired the look with a black-and-white clutch purse and a matching brimmed hat.
