They had plenty to say

From sweet birthday tributes to new project announcements, the royal family has popped up on my social feed with plenty of updates these past few months. However, it's quite rare to see multiple personal statements—five, to be exact—from senior royal family members in just one weekend. And get this: All of them included a personal signature.

First, ahead of England's intense match against Spain at the Euro 2024 Final, Prince William showed his support for The Three Lions on his Instagram Story. He shared a post from the team's official page and wrote, "We are so proud of you all @england, just one last push to finish the job. Go out there and show the world what you're made of. We believe. W."

It's also worth noting that William watched the match at Olympiastadion in Berlin, and during the game, he had several candid expressions. On behalf of Betfair Slots, Body language expert Darren Stanton said, "Prince William was very expressive with his emotions. He felt the emotions of every other fan last night. In the beginning, he fully believed England had a great chance, especially after Cole Palmer scored. He displayed facial expressions of belief, excitement and pride for England."

In the end, Spain won the final game and became the UEFA Euro Champions, but William still commended the team for their efforts in a second statement, following the match. He wrote, "This time it just wasn't meant to be. We're all still so proud of you. Onwards @england." Once again, he added a personal touch by signing the message with his first initial, "W."

After the game, Stanton also observed how sincere the prince was when he met with the team. The expert said, "He spoke to every player and reassured them while maintaining engaged eye contact, as well as giving them hugs. His facial expressions were genuinely full of condolences, sadness, and empathy. They had all come so far, so William wanted to support them in any way he could."

In addition, King Charles shared an encouraging letter to the soccer team on Instagram, which reads, "Although victory may have eluded you this evening, nevertheless my wife and I join all my family in urging you and your support team to hold your heads high."

The king continued, "All those who have participated in sporting activities at any level will know how utterly despairing such a result can feel when the prize was so near—and will join me in sending heartfelt sympathy, even as we congratulate Spain." The letter is also signed with his first name and his title initial, "R," which stands for "rex" (Latin for "king").

Fortunately, on a brighter note, Princess Anne has recovered from her minor injuries, following an incident with her horse at Gatcombe Park estate. The royal recently attended the Riding for the Disabled Association National Championships, and both Prince William and Princess Catherine wasted no time in celebrating her return on social media. On their Instagram Story, they shared a brief message that reads, "Super trooper! So great to see you back so soon! W & C x."

The royal family shared snaps of the Princess Royal in good spirits as she presented awards and met with competitors who have disabilities. But that's not all. In other exciting news, King Charles shared yet another personal statement to congratulate the cast and crew of Wagner's The Flying Dutchman.

Persona Arts shared an image of the signed letter on Instagram and captioned it, "We are thrilled to announce that Byron Jackson, our esteemed artistic director, has been honored with a letter from His Majesty The King, extending his congratulations to the entire cast and crew of The Flying Dutchman for their outstanding performance at The Birmingham Conservatoire!"

It reads, "It is enormously heartening to see that this particular cast is drawn from those with heritage from across the Commonwealth, and community performers from across the West Midlands. I know this will have taken a huge amount of effort from so many people, and so I did just want to send my congratulations to all those involved in this production, and to wish you all the very best for a successful run." Once again, the letter is signed with his first name and title initial.

Oh, and though it technically wasn't over the weekend, there was a sixth statement released, this time from Will and Kate. It accompanied a sweet photo of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Always a treat to see the royals share their sentiments through these personal letters.
