Kate Middleton Addresses Prince George Devouring a Slice of Pizza at Rugby Match
Parenting at its finest
Over the weekend, Prince George attended a 2023 Rugby World Cup match in France. During the game, the 10-year-old royal was seen with a greasy slice of pizza, which he promptly shoved into his mouth.
During a conversation with Sir Bill Beaumont (aka the Chairperson of World Rugby), the Princess of Wales, 41, poked fun at the incident. “He took full advantage,” she said, referring to Prince George’s choice of snack at the sporting event.
Beaumont jokingly added, “He tucked into the pizza alright.”
Prince George isn’t the only member of the Wales family who loves pizza. In fact, it was one of Princess Catherine’s pregnancy cravings. According to an insider (via Us Weekly), the Princess of Wales ate loads of pizza during her pregnancy with Princess Charlotte, 8.
A few years later, in 2019, Princess Catherine stepped out for an official outing in Islington, where she revealed that homemade pizzas are one of her go-to dinners. “I think they’re some of the best things to make, pizzas at home,” she said. “It’s such fun, you can choose what you can put on them—all the different toppings.”
The duchess even revealed her favorite topping, adding, “I quite like [adding bacon]. Or some other meat. It’s like having pepperoni, but it’s not as spicy.”
Royals, they’re just like us—even when it comes to pizza.
