You could be the Queen of England with a nanny, a butler and an entourage, or a full-time working parent—raising kids is hard, full stop. Need proof? Look no further than Kate Middleton.
On a visit to help launch a new parenting support network with the U.K. charity Family Action, Kate had a few choice words that were…surprisingly relatable.
According to People, the mother of three said of parenting, “It’s so hard. You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days, but after the age of 1 it falls away. After that there isn’t a huge amount—lots of books to read. Everybody experiences the same struggle.” Sound familiar?
While the duchess’s words won’t help change any diapers, it’s comforting to know that even with a royal support system, she’s weathered the same parenting storm. (Reason number 539 why we love her.)
