The royal family has been on edge ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they’re stepping down as senior royals. But that doesn’t mean Kate Middleton is too distracted to perform her go-to parenting move during her latest royal outing.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, recently embarked on a 24-hour tour of the U.K. in honor of the launch of her new survey for the Early Years initiative.

Earlier today, Middleton touched down in Cardiff and attended a baby sensory class at the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre. While there, the royal chatted with parents and performed her now-famous parenting move while playing with the kids.

Middleton was photographed crouching down to meet the eye-line of the children she was talking to. Not only does eye contact foster open communication, but it also encourages kids to express themselves on equal terms.

Middleton’s appearance doubled as a promotion for her new Early Years initiative survey, which consists of five short questions. The questionnaire will be distributed around the U.K. and gather opinions on raising the next generation.

The royal wore a leopard-print skirt by Zara. Since the piece retails for only $13, we can’t say we’re surprised that it’s already out of stock. Middleton paired the frock with a black turtleneck and pendant necklace.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the duchess perform her go-to parenting move. Earlier today, the royal family posted a video on the official @kensingtonroyal Instagram account, featuring Middleton kneeling in front of a group of kids.

Guess Middleton has learned a thing or two from raising her three children, Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (1).
