Kate Middleton is back to royal business and she’s making sure to do it in style.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge paid an unexpected visit to the Institute of Reproductive and Development Biology at Imperial College London to meet with families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth as well as hear from researchers specializing in those areas. The previously unannounced event came in honor of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which aims to provide connection, recognition and commemoration for bereaved parents.
“It’s so brave of you to be able to talk so openly,” Middleton told Clare Wogan, a woman who lost a child, according to People. “A lot of the research, a lot of the support for organizations, is being driven by parents who have been through this experience, and want to help others. It is so inspirational.”
