Kate Middleton Ditched Her Signature Curls for a New 'Do (and It Looks Fabulous)

You'll notice that the princess's dark tresses are glossy and straight, creating a sleek look. This is quite different from the style she rocked last week while visiting the National Portrait Gallery. For the outing, she wore her hair in beachy waves, which added a bit of volume and dimension.

Of course, this isn't the first time the royal has switched up her hair. In January, during her visit to The Royal Marsden, she kept the top half of her hair straight and rocked uniform curls on the bottom for a full, bouncy look.

While rocking her latest 'do, Middleton sat down with HMP Styal residents and met three babies who are currently in the unit. She shared a few highlights on her IG Story and wrote, "A powerful visit to HMP STyal's Mother and Baby Unit highlighting the importance of mother-child relationships in challenging environments. MBUs provide a safe space for mothers in prison to bond with their babies during crucial early months, supporting attachment and healthy child development."

Action for Children's Operational Director of Children’s Services Amanda Taylor, who was also present during the visit, told People, "We felt very privileged that the princess visited one of our mother and baby units. We consider them our little gems that we don’t always get publicity about. It is incredibly important work that we deliver and for the princess to shine a light on that work was a fantastic opportunity for us."

She added, "She just naturally helped the women to feel relaxed One of the women found it hard to talk and she spent some time with her at the end, talking to her one to one. She is very skilled at making people feel comfortable."
