Calling all royally obsessed fans: Kate Middleton is supposed to return to her royal duties after Easter and we already have the deets on the first engagement announcement after she underwent abdominal surgery back in January.

Per a new update made to the official U.K. Army’s Household Division website, the Princess of Wales, 42, is reportedly scheduled to make an appearance to review this year’s Trooping the Colour on June 8. The Trooping of the Colour is a yearly celebration that marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign.

The overview for the upcoming event states, “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales is identical to Trooping the Colour reviewed by His Majesty The King, with the exception that some additional mounted officers ride when His Majesty The King is present.”

It continues, “Taking part will be over 1400 soldiers of the Household Division and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including 400 musicians from the Massed Bands, all of whom will parade on Horse Guards for the second of two formal Reviews.”

As reported by Hello! Magazine, Princess Catherine will review 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards. As the newly appointed Colonel of the Irish Guards, the princess will examine the soldiers along The Mall—a ceremonial route in the city of Westminster. FYI, the Princess of Wales was given the new role back in March 2023.

That said, the palace has not said this is an official event on the princess’s schedule even though the U.K. Army made the announcement. Per People, “Royal sources point out that it’s for Kensington Palace to confirm the appearance of Prince William, 41, and Princess Kate at any official outing.”

This latest announcement comes a day after Catherine received a surprise visit from her mom, Carole Middleton, while she is still recovering from surgery. In a series of photos obtained by TMZ, Catherine was seen talking to her mom while sitting in a car on Monday, March 4.

Meanwhile, a source close to the royal family previously told People that Catherine’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, will be there to “lend support” during this time. Since being discharged from The London Clinic last month, the Princess of Wales has been recovering at Windsor Castle.

We can’t wait to see you back on the royal engagement trail, Princess Catherine.
