Kate Middleton Releases Emotional New Video Featuring the Entire Family (And We've Never Seen This Side of the Royal Couple Before)

After being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Kate Middleton has (understandably) been limiting her public appearances. Now, she's basking in the sun and giving royal fans a rare, intimate look into her family life.

In case you've yet to see it, the Princess of Wales, 42, shared a major health update on Instagram and confirmed that she has finished her chemotherapy treatment. She shared the big news in a sweet video with her husband, Prince William and three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. And in the footage, she dons a flattering floral midi dress from Veronica Beard while roaming through sunlit fields and spending quality time with her family.

Throughout the video, she narrates the following caption, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."

The post includes a few clips of Middleton's children playing together, embracing and holding hands as they walk together with their parents. But what is particularly striking about the video is the amount of visible affection shared between the royal couple. Just a few shots in, we see Prince William casually resting his hand on his wife's thigh as the family sit on hay bales in the beautiful countryside. We later see the princess resting her head on her husband's shoulder and holding hands as she narrates: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything."

The video also shows multiple shots of the couple holding hands and exchanging loving looks. This isn't the first time that we've witnessed some PDA between the royal duo, but it's rare to have so much of it on display in one go. 

Fortunately for royal fans, Middleton also confirmed that she will return to her royal duties soon. She said, "I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."
