Just as Princess Eugenie marked her 34th birthday back in March with a photo of her son, Kate Middleton’s younger brother, James Middleton, celebrated turning 37 with a picture of his own, where he’s surrounded by his loved ones and pups (being the proud dog dad that he is).

On Monday, April 15, James posted a never-before-seen photo of himself and his baby son, Inigo (who he welcomed with his wife, Alizee, back in September 2023), on his personal Instagram page.

While the father-son duo are sporting matching berets, James smiles at the camera while holding his son, whose face is covered with a white heart emoji. He captioned the post, “Matching bérets to celebrate my Birthday [red balloon emoji]. Surrounded by family, friends and of course my dogs.”

In the comments section, James’s followers took a moment to wish the 37-year-old a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday!!! Family and dogs and cake!! How much better can it get!! Have a wonderful day,” one person wrote, while another asked how his older sister, Princess Catherine, is doing amid her cancer diagnosis reveal, writing, “How is your sister feeling? We miss her so much [crying face emoji].”

On March 22 (which is also the same day the Princess of Wales opened up about her health in an emotional video shared on Instagram), James posted an extremely rare childhood photo of himself and a younger Princess Catherine on his IG account.

While showing support for his older sister amid her recovery, he wrote in the caption, “Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too [mountain and red heart emoji].” How sweet.

In the heartbreaking video, Princess Catherine candidly talked about her undisclosed type of cancer. While speaking directly into the camera, she said, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.”

She continued, “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I'm now in the early stages of that treatment.”
