The Hidden Meaning Behind Kate Middleton’s Bright Yellow Blazer

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Princess of Wales traveled to Bath today to visit the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. The organization (which was named after the famous British athlete) helps children gain confidence through sports and develop skills that can be used in their daily lives.

The royal wore an all-white outfit paired with an eye-catching yellow jacket. There was a special meaning behind Princess Catherine’s bright blazer because it honored the charity’s logo, which is prominently yellow. It also reminded royal aficionados of Queen Elizabeth, who often wore bright colors.

The duchess completed the look with a white top, pants and her go-to sneakers by Veja. (She also wore the shoes to the Big Lunch event during King Charles’s coronation weekend.)

Later in the day, Princess Catherine headed to St. Katherine’s School in Bristol to meet with students and chat candidly about mental health. After discussing social and emotional development, the royal headed outside for a friendly competition. Her comfortable footwear enabled her to take part in schoolyard activities, including one game involving bean bags.
