Fujikawa attended New York University in 2004. He dropped out of school after forming Chief with fellow students Evan Koga and Mike Moonves, and his brother, Michael Fujikawa.

In 2013, Fujikawa stepped out of the spotlight and founded Lightwave Records with the Delta Mirror front man Chris Acosta. Love a good businessman. (You know, like Christian Grey.)

The pair went public with their relationship in March 2017 when they were photographed together in Los Angeles. Since then, Fujikawa has made occasional appearances on Hudson’s official Instagram page, which includes everything from candid snaps to rare selfies.
