First it was Reese Witherspoon. Then it was Ciara. And now, Kate Beckinsale is the latest celebrity to commit to the hair trend of the summer: the bob.
One day before her 46th birthday, the actress ditched her famous long brown hair for a much shorter—and lighter—’do. Beckinsale posted a photo of herself rocking a blunt blonde bob that falls just above her shoulders.
She wrote a caption that has nothing to do with her new hairdo, saying, “Any Americans in London wondering where the AC is, I’ve found it and I’ll be squatting over it for a couple of weeks, so you’ll just have to manage.”
The edgy, tousled style is a far stretch from her usual look, but she appears to be enjoying her new weather-appropriate hairdo.
Although we don’t know if the cut is for a movie or for pleasure, many believe it’s for Beckinsale’s upcoming film Jolt, starring Jai Courtney, Laverne Cox, Bobby Cannavale and Stanley Tucci.
Still, one question remains: Do blondes really have more fun?
