Kate Beckinsale just took a page out of Jennifer Garner’s handbook and debuted a head-turning hairstyle ahead of the holidays.
This week, the Serendipity star posted a video of her pristine new hair that’s perfect for winter. Instead of her signature brunette locks, Beckinsale was rocking a short red bob that fell just above her shoulders.
It’s important to note that Beckinsale appears to be sitting in a movie trailer, so her new style is likely tied to her upcoming movie, Canary Black, which she’s currently filming in Croatia. (#ToughLife)
Therefore, her short red hair isn’t permanent—it’s a wig. In the video (screenshot above), Beckinsale can be seen shifting the hairpiece so that it aligns with her own hairline. She’s even sporting light-colored contacts to complement the new—albeit temporary—hair color.
In the caption, Beckinsale referenced the silly conversation she had with her hair stylist, Aaron Light, and her makeup artist, Chase Aston: “Always come to us for an incisive discussion of world events. Also jimmy reckon Mike Tindall has never lit a fart.”
Fans filled the comments section with words of praise for Beckinsale’s new hairdo. One person wrote, “Love this color on you!” Another added, “Your eyes [heart-eye emoji].” Someone even made a Gillian Anderson comparison: “I was scrolling so fast I thought you were Gillian Anderson from the 90s, Like some kind of behind the scenes of X-Files. Lol You can pull off any look Kate.”
Even if her short hair is temporary, it totally suits her.
