It’s Official: Michelle Kwan Just Granted Jonathan Van Ness’s Biggest Wish

If we’ve learned anything from Oprah Winfrey, it’s that if you dream it, you can do it. Well, Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness did just that and it really paid off.

After putting it out into the universe time and time again, the 31-year-old grooming expert/podcaster/comedian finally ice-skated with the great Michelle Kwan. He shared a video of himself and the most decorated figure skater in the country (NBD) performing a short program duet and expressed his gratitude in a very JVN way.

He wrote, “Smack a queen in the face, my dreams are coming true left and right, and I just simply cannot believe. My idol @michellewkwan helped me get my life together for my #RoadtoBeijing tour. Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Denver shows just added.”

The Getting Curious podcast host is currently in the middle of his stand-up tour, Road to Beijing, which is, of course, a reference to the upcoming 2020 Beijing Olympics and his desire to be a professional figure skater. And if we’ve learned anything from JVN this far, it’s that he can basically do anything.

Van Ness went on to write, “More to come on the tour later this year. Music courtesy of Cher’s 2019 Here We Go Again Tour, and biggest biggest thanks to @michellewkwan for being the wind beneath my gay wings! I can’t wait to see you all as I leave it all on the stage, giving you my best standup ferosha.” He also gave a shout-out to his choreographer Eliot Halverson.

With a little help from Kwan and Halverson (and the musical stylings of Cher), it looks like Van Ness might just have a shot at Beijing…at the very least he can pull a Leslie Jones and moderate the whole shebang.
