Yesterday was Jonathan Van Ness’s birthday and he truly lived his best life.
Not only did the 32-year-old Queer Eye star celebrate with his idol, ice skating legend Michelle Kwan, but he also attended the GLAAD Awards in a slinky icy blue caftan. Oh, did we mention he won an award? Yep, that’s what we call a birthday.
Van Ness shared his gorge ensemble on Instagram and opened up about his “magical” birthday. All we can say is we can believe, JVN.
The Fab Five grooming expert captioned the slideshow of his evening, “The @glaad awards yesterday was also on my birthday, @michellewkwan was my date & @queereye won the GLAAD award for ‘Outstanding Reality Program’ basically the most magical birthday of all time.”
He then upped the JVN lexicon ante and gave his glam and style team a shout-out. “Thanks so much @alibstyle for getting us styled to the gawdesses & @juliannekaye for giving us glam for days,” he went on to write. “To win this award from our peers means the absolute world. All the gratitude.” He tacked on three pride flag emojis in celebration.
Van Ness’s stylist Alison Brooks served up the look details on her Instagram, pointing out the Queer Eye star’s divine Rick Owens dress, surprisingly chic Target socks and au courant Yves Saint Laurent platforms.
Kwan matched her date by wearing his silver sequin Isabel Marant sweatshirt (yep, she wore it as a dress) and chrome Christian Louboutin pointed-toe heels (need).
A date with Olympic silver medalist Michelle Kwan, some YSL platforms and a well-deserved GLAAD award? Sounds like a JVN birthday, henny.
