Guests at Universal Studios Hollywood received an unexpected treat when John Legend got wine drunk and took the stage to perform a tipsy rendition of “All of Me”…in a onesie with his face on it.
It all started yesterday when the 40-year-old singer shared a slideshow of photos and videos on his personal Instagram account, featuring an, um, interesting performance of the hit song.
In the caption, Legend explained that he and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, went to Halloween Horror Nights at the theme park, which included a onesie-themed party. So, Legend found a fitting outfit with his face on it and hunted down a “reluctant” DJ, who let him take over the microphone.
The catch? The performance was a serenade for himself, not the audience. Legend even changed the lyrics from “All of me loves all of you” to “All of me loves all of me.”
He wrote, “We went to @unistudios last night to do Horror Nights before they shut it down. Costume theme was onesies. We bought a few new ones and raided the closet too and found the perfect one for me to wear. Someone made Chrissy a onesie with my face on it and of course I had to wear it. Then I found a reluctant DJ with a mic and serenaded myself. It was a night.”
On Twitter, Teigen confirmed that Legend had some liquid courage. “John got wine drunk and sang a song at universal studios last night,” she wrote alongside a video.
All we want for Christmas is to get wine drunk with John Legend.
