From stealing contestants on The Voice to trolling his wife Chrissy Teigen, John Legend is one busy man. Still, there’s always time for a family sing along session with his youngest kids, Esti, 1, and Wren, 1.
Earlier this month, Teigen, 38, posted a video on Instagram featuring the “All of Me” singer, 45, playing the piano for their children, and it went exactly how you’d expect with a couple of one-year-olds.
In the video, Legend is playing the piano and singing. Esti is sitting next to her dad and gently touching the keys as she sways to the music. Wren, on the other hand, is pounding on the piano with a force that’s quite impressive for a toddler. (His two oldest children, Luna, 8, and Miles, 6, weren’t featured in the video.)
The caption read, “When there are no words, there is music [red heart emoji].”
Last month, Legend sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow and shared rare details about his kids, including how he wants to pass down his passion for giving back.
“We always want to teach them that it's important for them to give back, for them to serve and to be kind and to be helpful when other people are in need,” he told PureWow. “We know how fortunate we are and how fortunate our kids are to have the resources that we have, and we think it’s important to show them that they should share those resources. Be kind. Be giving. Be generous with your time and with your resources.”
It seems talent runs in the family (kinda).
