John Legend Sings Stunning Duet with Fellow ‘Voice’ Judge

The Voice judges Niall Horan, 30, and John Legend, 44, are teaming up for a new project, and we couldn’t be more excited.

In the newest edition of the Trailer Talk with John Legend series, the father of four partnered with the former One Direction member (who joined the competition show as a judge last season) to sing a duet version of “The Show,” which is a song included on Horan’s third studio album of the same name.

In a newly shared teaser video, Legend plays the piano while singing the duet version with his fellow The Voice judge. And before we can hear the rest of the song, the video fades to black and large white text pops up on the screen, which says, “Trailer Talk with John Legend returns for Season 24.”

The caption read, “Got plans? Better hurry! The first Trailer Talk of the season drops today!”

Legend also shared the full episode (complete with more of their duet) on his IG profile. For the occasion, he came dressed up in a bright green shirt with a horse print design across the front.

At the start of the episode, Legend takes a moment to welcome everyone back to the series. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve been away from The Voice for a while. But I’m back! And that means Trailer Talk is back,” he says to the camera.

In the caption, Legend revealed Trailer Talk almost got canceled. But now, the series is back and better than ever. “They thought they could cancel us but WE’RE BACK!” the singer wrote in the caption. “Another season of Trailer Talk with our first guest, reigning Voice Champ, @NiallHoran! Don’t miss our performance of ‘The Show’ together.”
