Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner just made a touching tribute to their late dog, Waldo Picasso. And it’s permanent.
The newlyweds shared a glimpse into the special way they’re remembering their pup on Instagram after news broke that their Alaskan Klee Kai was struck and killed by a car in New York City.
Turner, 23, posted a photo of a new tattoo of Waldo’s face on her Instagram Stories.
She wrote, “I miss you, Waldo. Rest in peace my little baby.” It’s not clear where exactly she asked renowned tattoo artist Dragon of Bang Bang Tattoo to place the tat, but it appears she may have opted for some shoulder ink.
Her 29-year-old Jonas Brothers husband shared similar sentiments on his own Instagram and debuted a tattoo that matches his Game of Thrones star wife’s. The musician and singer posted a photo of his fresh forearm tat, which is surrounded by such things as a knot, a crown, an axe and a possible portrait of Turner.
He captioned the photo, “R.I. P. my little angel.”
This isn’t the first tattoo Jonas and Turner have gotten together, nor is it the first one that memorializes a loved one. Last July, the couple got coordinating tattoos in honor of their late respective grandfathers. Turner got a cursive “G” on her pinky finger and Jonas selected a postage-stamp design photo of his grandpa dressed in military garb with the word “Papa” underneath.
At the very least, Waldo can find solace in the fact that his fur parents loved him very much. Rest in peace, little guy.
