If a building has Chip, 48, and Joanna Gaines’s, 45, names attached to it, then we're already interested. So, it's no wonder that The Hotel 1928, opening up in Waco, Texas, has already piqued our interest. Thankfully, Joanna gave her followers a sneak peek of the space in a video she posted to Instagram this past week.

“Sneak peeks of @thehotel1928,” Joanna wrote, adding a heart-eyed emoji.
The former Fixer Upper co-host divulged a few of her favorite aspects of the hotel, writing, “Some of my favorites—high gloss Venetian plaster, green leather banquettes, double stair case in library, and custom mosaic tiles...@thehotel1928 coming soon!”
In fact, Hotel 1928 is arriving very soon—November 1, to be exact. As reported by People, the space is having its grand opening on that day, with reservations available to book all the way through April 2024. (You can book your stay here.)
Hotel 1928 got its name from the year the building was constructed, when it was originally called the Grand Karem Shrine Building.
Now, with this renovation, Joanna and Chip have tried to maintain as many aspects of the building as possible, allowing visitors to transport back in time while simultaneously experiencing a luxurious stay.
According to the hotel's website, the building will include “33 guest rooms, dining, over 6,600 square feet of event space, a rooftop terrace, and a retail shop featuring exclusive Magnolia-designed Hotel 1928 merchandise.” Its Waco location should come as no surprise to fans of the Gaines couple, given that the Texas city is where the pair still reside with their five children.
We can't wait to see the results of the project when it's explored in the new docuseries Fixer Upper: The Hotel (premiering on the Magnolia Network in November).
