Celebrities often take a page out of Kate Middleton’s handbook, whether they’re copying her go-to parenting move or wearing the “it” color of the season. And now, Joanna Gaines is hopping on the royal bandwagon, even if unintentionally.
The Fixer Upper star, 46, appeared on the Spring 2025 cover for The Magnolia Journal, where she is wearing a flattering floral dress. I immediately noticed that Gaines was rocking a similar hairstyle to that of Princess Catherine.
Gaines parted her hair down the middle and styled it in loose beachy waves. This has become one of Princess Catherine’s go-to hairstyles, even though she sometimes switches it up with updos and new parts.
In her candid interview with Magnolia Journal, Gaines shared rare details about her children and how she balances motherhood with her career.
“It may be unsurprising that the question I’ve been asked the most over the years goes something like, ‘How do you balance it all?’ which tells me a great number of us are longing for a sense of harmony among the choices we’ve made and the lives we’re building,” she said. “We want to know that we’re giving ourselves over to the right things, that we will not look back and wish we’d held it all differently.”
Gaines also revealed how her priorities have shifted over the years, adding, “Balance, to me, was the light at the end of the tunnel, the antidote of sorts for whatever chaos was swirling nearby. In my 20s, for instance, I was mothering small children and a small business, and I longed for the secret to make it all achievable. I was exhausted, so I sought balance for the promise of peace. Then, in my 30s our business grew overnight, and our dreams were taking off, and I longed for the secret to savor every moment.”
