‘Jeopardy!’ Champ Amy Schneider Is Engaged (& She Just Showed Off Their Gorgeous Rings)

These past few months have really been good for Amy Schneider.

The 43-year-old engineering manager recently achieved a 40-game winning streak on Jeopardy!, making her the person with the second-most consecutive wins in the history of the trivia show, right behind Ken Jennings. Not to mention, Schneider also became the first woman and openly transgender contestant to win over $1 million dollars on Jeopardy! (not too shabby).

Now, the champion has a whole new reason to celebrate, as she just announced on Twitter that she is engaged to her girlfriend, Genevieve Davis.

Schneider shared the exciting news in a tweet yesterday afternoon, where she said, “I have an announcement: Genevieve is no longer my girlfriend... she's my fiancée!!!” She included three smiling face with heart emojis and added, “I couldn't be happier or more proud to spend my life with the very best person in the entire world.”

In the photo, we see the couple's left hands resting over one another and we get a good glimpse at their gorgeous matching rings, which appear to include oval-shaped stones attached to silver bands.

Various users on Twitter showed their excitement for the couple, like one person who said, “Hooray! Congratulations to you both!” Another wrote, “AHHH CONGRATS AMY!! CONGRATS GENEVIEVE!! Couldn’t be happier for you two.”

Prior to their engagement, Schneider had discussed how Davis was a powerful motivator while she was competing on Jeopardy!. The now-iconic pearl necklace that Schneider wore throughout her winning streak was apparently a gift from Davis, who gave it to Schneider and said, “Every lady should have a string of pearls.”

The Jeopardy! contestant told USA Today that competing on the game show was one of the longest stretches she had spent away from Davis during their relationship and she said, “So having that [pearl necklace] was just a nice, just sort of comforting reminder that, that she was at home waiting for me.”

Congrats to the happy couple! We can't wait for these wedding pics (and we're hoping there will be some sort of trivia involved in the ceremony).
