J.Lo Just Rocked the Tuxedo Version of Her Iconic Green Versace Look for the Cover of Rolling Stone

There will always be those red carpet dresses we can't get out of our head, like Björk's swan dress at the Oscars or Lady Gaga's meat couture at the VMAs. One look that has truly stood the test of time? Jennifer Lopez's eye-catching Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards.

The sheer green, jungle-themed print was so highly discussed that it even led to the birth of Google Images, and because the look was so iconic, it seems that J.Lo is giving a nod to it with her new cover for Rolling Stone.

Jenny from the Block is the music magazine's March cover model, and on the front of the publication, she rocks a tuxedo version of her famous Versace look, with a black Balmain design that features the same deep-V cut as the iconic dress.

This is not the first time J.Lo has referenced her celebrated ensemble. Back in 2019, the Hustlers actress walked in the Versace Spring/Summer 2020 show, where she rocked an updated version of the design that included additional cut-outs at the hips, sparkly embellishments and no sleeves.

There was a connection between Lopez's Rolling Stone outfit and the 2020 Versace design as well, given that the Balmain ’fit features similar cut-outs at the hips. This sharp design was styled by Lopez's frequent stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, and it was accentuated with Jennifer Fisher earrings and cuffs from Tiffany & Co.

J.Lo has been staying busy these past few weeks as she promotes her upcoming rom-com Marry Me, and her publicity for the film has included all kinds of killer fashion moments, from pink Valentino pantsuits to marble-patterned Fendi dresses.
