PSA: Jennifer Lopez Is Working on Some ‘Sexy Summer Fun’ Music

We hope you're ready to hit the dance floor, because Jennifer Lopez is back in the studio.

The 51-year-old actress and musician posted an Instagram photo where she is seen singing in a studio. She captioned the photo with a vague teaser, saying, "Sexy summer fun coming," along with some music note and heart emojis.

While J.Lo has spent the last few years focusing on her acting career, the star has not released a studio album since 2014's A.K.A. Since then, Lopez has instead released a string of singles, and she held her first concert residency in Vegas from 2016-2018, titled Jennifer Lopez: All I Have.

Now, it looks like Jenny from the Block is ready to record again, and she's teamed up with Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson, the CEO of Platinum Boy Music Inc. Thompson commented on her post, saying, "Time for another @jlo x @amadeuspbm smash!!!!!!! Let’s go." The two had previously teamed up on J.Lo's eighth studio album, where Thompson worked as a producer on the deluxe edition tracks "Same Girl" (featuring French Montana) and "Tens" (featuring Jack Mizrahi).

Fans were very excited to see Lopez recording more music, with one user saying they were "so readyyyyy." Another commented a series of heart-eye emojis and deemed Lopez, "OUR HOT GIRL SUMMER LEADER." Others couldn't contain their excitement, with one just writing: "OMG OMG OMG."

While we await the release of more music, we can also expect a few film projects from Lopez in the near future. The Hustlers actress has two movies slated for release in 2022: the rom-com Marry Me and the comedy action film Shotgun Wedding.

In the meantime, we'll be streaming "Love Don't Cost a Thing."
