This just in: Jennifer Garner and Jenny from the Block are becoming fast friends.
According to US Weekly, they've been bonding as coparents since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tied the knot in July. One source told the outlet, “Now that Jen and Jen have been coparenting, they’ve been getting to know each other better and have formed a very new friendship.”
The source also said that Garner, who shares three children with Affleck, “can’t believe how sweet” Lopez is to her kids. They added, “They really enjoy each other.”
However, Garner isn't the only one who had positive things to say about the blended family dynamic. While speaking with Vogue for her December cover story, Lopez also praised Garner’s stellar co-parenting skills. “[She’s] an amazing coparent, and they work really well together,” she told the magazine.
As it turns out, establishing the same kind of bond with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, has been a bit more challenging, since he lives on the East Coast. In reference to Affleck, Lopez, who shares twins with Anthony, explained, “The transition is a process that needs to be handled with so much care. They have so many feelings. They’re teens. But it’s going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids, because I’m so emotionally tied up.”
While Lopez shares Emme and Max, 14, with her ex-husband, Affleck and Garner have three kids together: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.
The news of their budding friendship comes just four months after Affleck and Lopez exchanged vows in Las Vegas. The pair secretly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, which Lopez later confirmed in her fan newsletter, On The JLo.
