Jennifer Garner Completely Loses It in a Haunted House: ‘Take My Son’

This is priceless

I have a love-hate relationship with the spooky season. I love seeing all the spot-on Halloween costumes and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, but I’m a total wimp when it comes to horror movies and haunted houses. Luckily, I’m not the only one.

Jennifer Garner just shared a hilarious video on her personal Instagram account that showcases her hatred for Halloween jump scares. The clip featured her and her son, Samuel, walking through a haunted house. Samuel is only 12 years old, so you’d think the 13 Going on 30 actress, 52, would be the one comforting him. But that’s not what happened at all.

The clip shows a montage of real-time reactions featuring Garner screaming, pleading and completely losing it while walking through the maze in terror. At one point, Samuel says, “Mom, you’re breaking my hand. I can’t actually feel my hand.”

Garner is filming herself in selfie mode, so the footage is quite blurry, but the sound makes it all worthwhile. Some of Garner’s best comments include:

“I see you. I see you! I SEE YOU!”

“I don’t like when they pursue us. Don’t pursue!”

“There’s a person. I see you, and I’m not frightened of you.”

“I’m not who you want. Take my son!”

“Too dark, too dark! Too smokey!”

Followers filled the comments section with supportive messages for Garner. One person wrote, “Girl you got Alias and Elektra skills. They should be afraid of you.” Another added, “Look at you giving NOTES at the end! ‘Very effective!!’ I’m crying.”

This just made my whole week.
