One of the golden rules of cooking is to follow the recipe. But when you’re famous television chef and author Ina Garten, who loves to bring her own personal flair to every dish she cooks, this rule doesn’t quite apply—and for good reason.

On April 21, Garten posted a sneak preview of an upcoming episode of her show, Be My Guest, which featured the one and only Jennifer Garner.

The short video starts with the 76-year-old chef handing the 13 Going on 30 actress a plate of cornbread she made by using Garner’s grandmother’s recipe. “How about some cornbread? So it’s very crumbly,” Garten says to Garner with a smile, who eagerly responds, “As it should be.”

As she breaks off a piece of cornbread with her fork, Garner asks, “What in the world? Is there salt on top?” After Garten confirms that there is, in fact, salt on top of the cornbread, the 52-year-old actress proceeds to taste a sliver of the popular Southern dish.

“Wow,” Garner says while eating the cornbread, prompting Garten to ask the actress, “Does it still taste like your grandmother’s?” And Garner reveals, “It is the best thing I’ve ever had in my life.”

Meanwhile, another pic in the slideshow features a candid photo of Garner trying a pizza made by the famous chef. In the caption of the post, Garten wrote, “I updated Jennifer Garner’s grandmother’s cornbread recipe on the first episode of #BeMyGuest Season 4, which airs today at 12 pm on @foodnetwork and @streamonmax !! We had the best time and my Brown Butter Skillet Cornbread with flaked sea salt on top wasn’t bad either.”

I’m totally trying to make this cornbread at home.
