This past weekend, Jennifer Aniston was drenched in black paint. And I'll admit, when I first spotted these pics in my social feed, my jaw dropped. That is, until I figured out the actress was filming an intense scene for season four of The Morning Show.

The Friends star, 55, was spotted in the Flatiron District in New York, donning a white armless blouse and khaki pants as her character stood among a fictional group of climate change protesters. One moment, she appears to be filming the protest with her phone and the next, she's covered in fake oil, thanks to one angry activist. Naturally, fans of the show have been quite excited to see this season four glimpse. Keep scrolling for more of these sneak peek pics.

Aniston is in her element as Alex Lexy, likely covering a new story.

But before long, a protester throws a bucket of fake oil at her. Her phone is still intact, but quite a bit of her clothes and her purse are drenched.

Aniston (or shall we say Alex) is very convincing with her shocked and mortified reactions.

In the chaotic scene, actors who played police officers intervened and tried to control the situation, and Aniston stayed in character until the director said "cut." Per DailyMail, the star immediately changed her serious expression and started joking around with the cast and crew.

FYI, Apple TV+ has yet to announce a premiere date for season four, but it will likely premiere in 2025. Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt has already confirmed that new episodes will drop after the 2024 presidential election in November, and Aniston told Variety in a previous interview that the series "tends to mirror what is actually happening in the world." So, it will be quite fascinating to see how The Morning Show tackles current events.

As for Alex's next steps and that merger between UBA and NBN, Aniston told the outlet, "It’s watching this big move that Alex made at the end of season three, and how’s that working out for you? That position and that huge merge happening, and to see how gracefully that she walks through that.”
