Jenna Lyons Seemingly Hints at Engagement in New IG Post, Though a Source Says It’s Not True

Do we spy an engagement ring?! It sure looks like one in a recent post from Jenna Lyons, 55. The former J. Crew president and executive creative director shared a romantic snap over the weekend, where she was seen snuggling up with her girlfriend, Cass Bird, 49. “I’ll take the French fries and steak au poivre,” Lyons wrote in her caption. “[Love] Paris @cassblackbird.” In the photo, Lyons is seen resting her hand on Bird and giving followers a glimpse at her impressive rock...but apparently this isn't an engagement ring.

The Real Housewives of New York City star never outright mentioned an engagement, but a few comments from celebrity friends seemed to suggest otherwise.

For instance, Lyons’s pal, Andy Cohen, left a comment on the post that said, “Mazel Tov!” He also included four clapping emojis. Then, RHONY actress Erin Dana Lichy added, “Lovers in Paris...so happy for you both.” Meanwhile, Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire commented: “Congratsssss! To you and @cassblackbird and whoever’s beautiful severed hand got that gorgeous [diamond ring].”

However, a close source recently told People that the couple are not in fact engaged, and Lyons simply has a few rings in rotation, which she sometimes puts on *that* finger.

You can't blame followers for assuming, especially because Bird shared her own post this past weekend, which was a slideshow of photos beginning with a solo shot of Lyons. Lo and behold, if you look closely at this first pic, you can see that the Lyons does indeed have a ring on her wedding finger.

But as a source told People: “She's had that ring forever, and though it does look like an engagement ring, it's not.”

The couple first started dating earlier this year, and their relationship was confirmed by The New York Times in June. Since then, the couple have kept details of their relationship relatively quiet, but they've posted about each other a few times.

There may not be wedding bells yet, but we're rooting for these two.
