Whoa, James Middleton Won Valentine’s Day with the Most Romantic Set-up for His Wife Alizée

Over-the-top romance on Valentine’s Day isn’t for everyone, but as Kate Middleton’s brother James proved in a post shared on Instagram this week, to do it right, you have to go all in.

Just take a look at the love-filled set-up he created for his wife Alizée Thevenet, who he recently married in the South of France in the fall of last year. As my co-host Roberta Fiorito describes in this week’s episode of the Royally Obsessed podcast, James’s Valentine’s Day itinerary can be summed up in three words: Forest. Fireside. Fondue.

She’s not kidding. James posted a video that showed off the key details of his evening with Alizée, all set to a sultry soundtrack—specifically the tune, “Sexy Weekend” by the Scoundrels. He’s off-camera, but you can see him twirling a fondue fork over a pot of bubbling cheese that is resting above a wood-burning fire, then feeding his wife as their beloved dogs look on. (Alizée looks incredibly happy BTW.)

As cheesy—pun intended—as it sounds, we love the fact that he embraced the spirit of the day. His caption: “The way to a French girl’s heart. Happy Valentine’s Day.” (For real, though.)
