This week, The Today Show's Instagram posted a clip of Garten, 76, in Paris for the Olympics, and her simple yet chic ensemble proves that you needn't be ultra-tall to pull off a more voluminous silhouette.

While some women under 5'4" might find the thought of wearing shapeless pieces daunting, Garten proves that a simple addition can make all the difference when it comes to not looking swallowed by excess fabric if you're on the shorter side.
Wearing her classic chambray button-down, black slacks and comfortable travel sneakers (Allbirds, of course), The Barefoot Contessa stylishly shows that with one small tweak, baggier clothes can totally work for petites. The tweak in question: a printed silk scarf knotted loosely around the neck, which works to lengthen the entire silhouette, drawing the eye upward and making Garten appear taller than her 5'3" frame.
In case you missed it, Garten is in Paris with NBC and The Today Show. Earlier this week, she shared a video from Paris, captioned, "I'm in my favorite city in the world—Paris!! @nbcolympics @todayshow This is going to be an amazing week!!"
