Hilary Swank is now the mother of twins!
On Easter Sunday, the Million Dollar Baby star surprised her followers on Instagram with a brand-new photo of herself with her newborn twins. In the snap, Swank, 48, is holding her babies (whose faces are completely covered) in her arms while looking at a beautiful ombre sunset.
The caption read, “It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter! [hatching chick emoji]. Posting from pure Heaven.”
Many of her celebrity friends flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages to the new mom. Air star Viola Davis wrote, “Aaaaahhhh!!!!! Congratulations,” alongside red heart emojis. Law & Order alum Mariska Hargitay also commented, “Welcome home angels.” And Sharon Stone left a comment for her friend, writing, “God bless honey. This is the most extraordinary journey ever. So happy for you all.”
Back in October 2022, the Freedom Writers star appeared on Good Morning America and announced that she would be expecting twins with her husband, Philip Schneider, 45.
“This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” she said at the time. “And not just of one, but of two. I can’t believe it.”
While appearing on an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that she learned of her pregnancy while filming her show, Alaska Daily.
“My clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day cut [my jeans] open. And then I put a jacket on that wasn’t in continuity,” Swank revealed. “And [they] came and said, ‘That’s not in continuity.’ I said, ‘Oh, I think it works.’ ‘It doesn’t.’ ‘No, it does. I’m going to make it work.’ She’s like, ‘If you’re an executive producer, you can do it, but this is weird.’”
